In order to keep providing you with our global services, Maersk is implementing a Late Documentation Fee Export (LDE) and Late Documentation Fee Import (LDI) to/from Mauritius and Seychelles including cross bookings, effective 01st October 2020, of $100 per bill of lading.
With the various deadlines applicable for Shipping Instructions (SI), kindly ensure your Shipping Instructions (SI), is submitted 24 hours after vessel departure from load port, except for export bookings from Mauritius and Seychelles to Reunion Islands ( part of EU countries subject to Advance Manifest) where late SI will be applicable as per global SI deadline of 33 hours, prior vessel ETA Port Louis and Victoria.
We would like to remind you that Shipping Instruction (SI) deadlines are available on Maersk website.
Any shipments not meeting these Shipping Instructions (SI) deadlines may result in containers not loading and customers may be penalized for the late documentation fee accordingly.
We are initiating a soft launch from 15th September where we will remind customers if they are late with SI submissions and where the Late Documentation Fee would be applicable as from 01st October 2020.
If documents are received on, or after, the deadline of the expected vessel departure (ETD), the surcharge of $100 per bill of lading may be invoiced. This Late Documentation Fee is to cover additional administration costs when we receive relevant Shipping Instructions (SI) after the specified cut-off time for the shipment.
If you have any questions, please contact our customer service teams or our Maersk website. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing working with you in the future.
