Implementation of Ship change cost COVVD_Effective 29th October 2022

In accordance with notes N° 0019/APN/DG/DEPDP/CE-CTDQ & 0020/APN/DG/DEPDP/CE-CTDQ of 03/11/2020, relating to the invoicing of vessel stopover costs (COVVD) for all export cargoes departing from the port of Douala, Maersk informs its kind customer of the now systematic invoicing of said costs for cases of non-boarding for the following non-exhaustive reasons attributable to customers.

• Lack of SGS scanning
• Overweight
• Suspension of boarding at the request of the customer or customs
• Any other reason where the customer's responsibility is engaged

It should be noted that ship stopover charges will apply according to the regulations in force. We also remind our customers, in case of uncertainty, that it is possible to store their containers in the parks of our approved partners. This allows the transfer to the terminal to be carried out once the guarantee of boarding on the planned vessel has been acquired.

Maersk will recover this charge through the Container Shifting Origin (CSO) Surcharge.

The charge will be levied against all container exports handled out from Douala, Cameroon to the World and amount payable will be as follows:
