A.P. Moller – Maersk would like to inform you of a planned strike action at the Port of Antwerp, starting at 06:00am on Wednesday 9 November, and ending at 06:00am on Thursday 10 November. During this time, the terminal will be closed for operation and no inland deliveries or pick ups will be possible until the end of the strike action.
Maersk teams are also aware of the potential strike action from the side of pilots, lock staff, and tugs. Our teams are keeping a close eye on how the situation develops and will keep you informed should any further strike action go ahead.
While the industrial action is expected to pose challenges for operations, our teams are actively working on contingency planning to minimise delays to your supply chain, including changes to the vessel line-up. If your cargo is affected by these contingencies, your local Customer Experience representative will reach out to you as your booking is updated.
We will continue to focus on maintaining the flow of import and export cargo during this period and keep customer impact to a minimum. To help reduce delays, we are kindly asking you to please collect your import cargo as soon as possible.
In the interest of planning ahead, we encourage you to reach out to your local Customer Experience representative. Should any changes occur, we will communicate all information to you as soon as possible. As always, our teams are here to serve you, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
