17 November 2023 – Update 05

Despite high yard density levels continuing to pose challenges at the Gdansk Baltic Terminal, Poland, we have been pleased to see gradual improvements in the berthing line up at the mainliner hub over the past few days.

As a result, waiting times are slowly improving and multiple vessels on the AE10 service are subsequently advanced on arrival at Gdansk. Please see below for schedule changes to the service:

  • Moscow Maersk (346E) - Vessel alongside 16/11 until 19/11
  • Mary Maersk (347E) - ETA: 22/11 05:00
  • Munkebo Maersk (348E) - ETA: 28/11 12:00
  • McKinney Moller (349E) - ETA: 04/12 13:00

Please adjust your pre-carriage transport plans to match with the updated ETAs of booked vessels. If booked shipments cannot make it in time for the new deadlines, kindly re-schedule your shipment via Maersk.com or reach out to your Customer Experience representative.

We would also like to continue encouraging you to collect your import units as soon as possible after discharge at both Gdansk and Gdynia, in efforts to combat the high density levels.

As previously announced, import cargo booked on L02 and L03 services will still be discharged at the nearby Port of Gdynia until further notice when the situation at Gdansk stabilises.

We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time and we remain at your disposal should you have any questions.

18 October 2023 – Update 04

High yard density levels in the Port of Gdansk are continuing to pose challenges, and A.P. Moller – Maersk have put contingency plans in place to keep customer supply chain moving as seamlessly as possible.

Part of these contingency measures is redirecting import cargo away from Gdansk in order to alleviate pressure. Therefore, we are announcing that import cargo booked on L02 and L03 services will be discharged at the nearby Port of Gdynia until further notice when the yard density at Gdansk stabilises.

We understand that the situation may have an impact on your business, but we are committed to reducing delays and bottlenecks. Rest assured that these measures have been carefully considered in the interest of our customers and the global supply chain.

The yard at the Port of Gdynia is limited in size, so we are kindly asking customers to please pick up their containers as a matter of urgency once discharged. This will allow us to continue diverting future L02 and L03 service cargo away from Gdansk and ultimately reducing pressure on the terminal.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this period, as well as your cooperation swiftly picking up import containers.

Our teams are here to serve you, so please do not hesitate to reach out to your Customer Experience representative should you have any questions.

12 October 2023 – Update 03

We understand that the situation may have an impact on your business, and we are committed to reducing delays and restoring fluidity as quickly as possible.

In efforts to prevent the yard density level deteriorating further, a selection of long-standing units (import volumes) which arrived at Gdansk DCT Terminal will be diverted to Gdansk Balticon Terminal. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this period. Our teams are here to serve you, so please do not hesitate to reach out to your Customer Experience representative should you have any questions.

18 September 2023 – Update 02

A.P. Moller - Maersk would like to bring you an update on the yard density levels at the Gdansk Baltic Hub terminal (DCT), Poland, which are still at a critical state.

In efforts to relieve pressure on the terminal, our teams are continuing to assess moving cargo flows from AE10 via different routes, however vessels on this service are intended to maintain a port call in Gdansk as per the scheduled rotation.

For cargo on the L02 service, our teams are looking into possibilities to discharge import cargo in Gdynia for a period of 4-6 weeks, until the yard density in Gdansk stabilises. We will communicate full details with you on this matter as soon as possible, should it go into effect or should your bookings be affected.

We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time and we remain at your disposal should you have any questions.

15 September 2023 – Update 01

A.P. Moller – Maersk would like to bring to your attention the critical yard density levels at the Gdansk Baltic Hub terminal (DCT), Poland, as a result of continuous operational disruptions and high demand across the market.

In order to avoid putting additional strain on the yard and prevent the situation from deteriorating, we strongly urge you to clear your import cargo from the terminal as soon as possible by picking it up latest five working days after discharge.

As the situation at Gdansk is becoming more and more critical, we may need to move Westbound (import) cargo to off-dock locations, where it will be available for collection the following day. We will communicate full details with you on this matter, should it go into effect.

Our teams are also assessing the possible diversion of inbound AE10 vessels to other terminals – to discharge import cargo. We are currently reviewing the possibilities and will communicate any changes as soon as possible.

Our primary focus is on keeping your supply chain moving, and we hope to have your support to ensure operations run as smoothly as possible in Gdansk despite the circumstances.

We thank you for your continuous understanding and we will keep you informed of any new developments.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your local customer service representative.
