MSC Korea 343N – Main Engine Issue
The vessel providers, MSC, have informed us that on 20th November 2023, the vessel “MSC Korea” suffered main engine issues, while she was at Cape Town, South Africa, post completion of cargo operations.
The vessel is currently at a repair berth in Cape Town and cannot sail to the next port without completing repairs of the main engine. All onboard reefer containers are reported to be on-power.
We are liaising with MSC for updates related to vessel schedule and will inform you once this information is available. Unfortunately, the above situation may result in a delay in delivery of your shipment.
We apologize for the inconvenience this incident may cause to your business. In case of any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your local Maersk representative.
