Rail Deviation Surcharge from August 9 to August 31, 2024
We want to inform you that the railway line between Rastatt and Baden-Baden, towards Rotterdam, will be closed for construction from August 9 to August 31, 2024. This will affect our rail service to/from Rotterdam in the following ways:
- Reduced Wagon Capacity
- Alternative Routing: Trains will cross the German/French border near Worth instead of Kehl.
- Increased Costs: Our vendors are forced to increase cost due additional staff, locomotives, and train paths will be required.
Due to these changes, a Rail Deviation Surcharge of €55 per TEU will be applied to rail bookings from/to Rotterdam during this period. This surcharge will be automatically added to your invoices.
If you prefer alternative transport options, we can also offer barge or truck services during this time.
Please feel free to contact us for any further information.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
