Tariff Review - Low Water Surcharge Paraguay 2024 - Update # 2

Reaffirming our commitment to removing surcharges when they are no longer needed to ensure safety navigation and maintain regularity, we inform you that Low Water Surcharge, applied to shipments originating from or destined to Paraguay, will expire, based on local resolutions and the current water levels of Río Paraguay.

Effective date PCD 23/12/2023

Scope: all shipments from/to Paraguay

Surcharge code - LWC

*PCD = Price Calculation Date.
*For non-FMC, PCD refers to the scheduled departure date of the first water leg at the time of booking confirmation.
*For FMC, PCD is last container gate-in date for non-spot bookings.
*For Spot bookings, is the Booking Confirmation date.

It is worth emphasizing that the application is based on the Price Calculation Date. For imports, there may be shipments arriving at the destination after the drought restriction with application of LWC (if it was effective at PCD).

The LWC is an emergency and temporary charge, applicable due to the extraordinary conditions of navigation. It may be reviewed and adjusted, by virtue of situation. It ceased now since the sailing conditions returned to normal but can be activated again in the future.

To ensure safety navigation and maintain regularity, we inform you that Low Water Surcharge, applied to shipments originating from or destined to Paraguay, will be revised as follows, given the current drought of Río Paraguay.

Effective date for non-FMC: PCD 25/11/2024

Effective date for FMC: PCD 25/12/2024

Scope: all shipments from/to Paraguay
