Port Operations and Trucking in Guatemala and El Salvador
We would like to inform you that the operating conditions at the ports, both on the Atlantic and the Pacific, and the inland transportation of cargo in Guatemala and El Salvador have been significantly affected by the increase in import volumes, severe port congestion and unfavorable road conditions.
Due to these continuing circumstances, cargo transportation to and from North Central America are restricted. For this reason, Maersk will be experiencing delays for cargo being moved by truck and will be limiting inland transportation service within some corridors.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and will keep you informed, as our absolute priority is keeping your supply chain moving despite the circumstances.
We thank you in advance for trusting Maersk as your supply chain partner.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your local Customer Experience team. We look forward to continuously serving your global logistics needs.
