In-Transit Surcharge T2D (NCAM) Countries - Update # 3
We are pleased to announce an enhancement of the in – transit service in Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and El Salvador, extending this cross- border best in class support and port 3rd party charges quick recovery also for the Store Door shipments as an optional service aiming to expedite the cargo transit.
To support the improved service, we are adding in – border additional support, with professionals that will be attentive to your inspection ARIVUs, and the paperwork with local authority’s needs, ensuring we are providing also a best-in-class end- to end process. Our dedicated team will work around the clock to ensure timely deliveries by making sure that your Transits are as smooth as possible.
Due to the additional resources and support comprised by this enhanced service, starting May 22nd (Non-US) June 22nd (US based contracts), its price will be $120 USD per shipment crossing a border. Due to regulatory issues, it will be automatically applied to all quotations arriving via Maersk for Store Door shipments involving transportation to the countries, replacing the current $60 applicable in those cases. If you decide to independently proceed with the in-transit inspection and paperwork without the service of our dedicated team, please reach out to your sales representative so your quote can be adjusted accordingly.
Also, for all ports where we are providing this store door service, all 3rd party charges, such as inspections, port fumigations, among others, will now start being billed in the CAI Surcharge across all locations as well.
For the customers acquiring the service, a surcharge of PAE/PAI will appear as a pass-through service for port storage, and a financial fee of 3% will be added to cover miscellaneous port expenses, which are paid by the carrier and then billed to the customer. The carrier is familiar with the port authorities’ requirements and will have dedicated people working on the DUCA-T, which can save our customers time and avoid inconveniences if they needed to arrange payment themselves. This service applies to all shipments as part of standard procedures.

We are pleased to announce improvements in the new in – transit service in the ports of Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and El Salvador, designed to increase our reliability in the movement of goods and ensure we meet delivery timelines for Store Door shipments.
To support these enhancements, we are introducing a system update of surcharge for in-transit customs clearance (T2D) that will replace progressively the current (T1D) surcharge. This surcharge will cover for the costs that will allow us to expedite quotations for in- transit services. Our dedicated team will work closely with port authorities and logistics partners to ensure timely deliveries by making sure that the Transit Declarations (DUCA T) as processed in the most efficient manner.
Starting March 19th (Non-US) May 19th (US based contracts), this surcharge of $60 USD per shipment crossing a border will be automatically applied replacing the current T1D code in our systems, due to local regulations, to all quotations arriving via Maersk for Store Door shipments involving transportation to the countries.

We are pleased to announce new service enhancements in the ports of Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and El Salvador. These improvements are designed to increase our reliability in the movement of goods and ensure we meet delivery timelines for Store Door shipments.
To support these enhancements, we are introducing a customs surcharge for in-transit customs clearance (T1D). This surcharge will help us accommodate specialized customs personnel who will expedite the clearance process at the ports. Our dedicated team will work closely with port authorities and logistics partners to ensure timely deliveries by accelerating the processing of Transit Declarations (DUCA T).
Starting February 26th (Non US) March 26st (US based contracts), a surcharge of $60 USD per shipment crossing a border will be automatically applied, due to local regulations, to all quotations arriving via Maersk for Store Door shipments involving transportation to the aforementioned countries.
