We would like to inform you that operating conditions on the Atlantic ports of Guatemala continue to be significantly affected due to the increase in import and export volumes. Port congestion and slow operations at Santo Tomas de Castilla, Guatemala have caused delays on the arrivals of our vessels and, consequently, on departures as well. We expect delays to continue throughout the coming weeks, mainly on our South Atlantic Express service.
The situation at the port has also impacted land transportation, given that the entry of export equipment has been restricted due to capacity issues, and the flow of import pick-up has been slow.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation, and we are committed to keeping you informed of any relevant changes through this medium, as our absolute priority is keeping your supply chain moving despite the circumstances.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your local Customer Experience team. We look forward to continuously serving your global logistics needs.
