Increased Wait time and demurrage costs due to Rail Track repairs
We would like to inform you of the continued disruptions at Gothenburg Port (since 30th April). The ongoing emergency rail track repairs outside APMT have led to significant congestion and extended waiting times for truckers, resulting in additional costs for delays, additionally, potential demurrage charges for import shipments — particularly those booked via rail - that cannot be moved.
As these challenges are beyond Maersk's control, we regret to inform you that we must revise our pricing to reflect these additional costs. Adjustments will be applied to the affected shipments.
