As part of Solas convention and following instructions received from port authorities effective from June 2nd 2025, every export container is required to have a Verified Gross Mass (VGM) as a condition for gate-in Havre Le Cnm Terminal .
Taking this opportunity to again reiterate the importance of submitting Verified Gross Mass (VGM) in accurate and timely manner. This advisory serve as a notice of enforcement of VGM submission for Le Havre Terminal (France).
Maersk supports this requirement as it promotes safety across the industry, including for our customers and their cargoes, landside personnel and subsequently our employees and vessels.
👉 Therefore be advised that effective from 2nd of June, 2025 we will strictly implement NO VGM, NO GATE IN policy.
🔍 How should I submit the VGM to Maersk?
The prefered method for submission of a VGM to Maersk is through one or any of the digital channels after empty containers gate out as mentioned below
- Via our Maersk website and login through our My Maersk portal.
- Via EDI message for customers sending booking or shipping instructions with Maersk.
- Via service other portals such as INTTRA
🚛 This policy is applicable for all service modes used to gate-in containers in Havre Le Cnm Terminal, including truck, rail and barge.
⚠️Any additional costs, as waiting time, or additional inland or moves, that we must incur because lack of reception of VGM on time, will be invoiced accordingly.
Weighing can be carried out directly at the Terminal de l’Atlantique. To do so, please book a weighting slot with CNM, at least 48 hours before the container enters the terminal by sending an email to: vgm@cnmp.com.
It is essential to respect this deadline. In case the pre-notice is not met, weighing will not be performed and any related costs will be invoiced accordingly.
Thank you for the understanding and collaboration.
