We want to inform you of the changes to the Maersk Latin American ocean network, including the introduction of a new service. We are making these changes with the goal of enhancing our existing Latin American ocean network, offering you more competitive transit times and expanded connectivity across markets.
Our new CAX service will connect the Caribbean and North Europe, replacing the CRX and COEX services effective end of September 2025. Below you can see the rotation for the new CAX service:
Antwerp – Southampton – Hamburg – Bremerhaven – Newark – Manzanillo (PA) – Puerto Antioquia* - Puerto Moin - Manzanillo (PA)
*Puerto Antioquia will be served by a feeder connecting in Manzanillo (PA) until the new terminal is fully operational
The CAX service will not call Veracruz and Altamira, Mexico. All future ocean calls to Veracruz and Altamira, Mexico will be transitioned to the UCLA service . See rotation below:
Veracruz – Altamira – Houston – Cartagena – Santos – Itapoa – Paranagua
These locations will continue to serve the market with a direct link to Cartagena, and access to transshipment connections from Cartagena to other Intra-America destinations.
The last voyage of the CRX service calling at Veracruz and Altamira, Mexico, is the Seaspan Montevideo 537S scheduled for the end of September. Maersk will provide additional details closer to September.
