Updated Charges in Line with TASAC Directive – Effective 4th August 2025
In continued alignment with the directive issued by the Tanzania Shipping Agencies Corporation (TASAC) on August 1st, 2025, and following our advisory dated August 12th, 2025, we wish to inform you of updated charges now applicable to transit containers routed via Kwala Dry Port.
As mandated by the directive, all port-related services for transit shipments, including customs clearance, inspection, documentation, and cargo release, are now centralized at Kwala Dry Port. In line with this transition, the following transfer charges will apply and payable to Tanzania Port Authority:
- USD 180 per 20-foot container
- USD 210 per 40-foot container
These charges took effect on August 4th, 2025, and will apply to all relevant transit cargo moved through Kwala Dry Port.
We are committed to minimizing disruption to your operations during this transition. Our teams are working closely with all stakeholders to maintain a smooth and reliable service.
