For Truck moves, weight restrictions are not limited to the total cargo weight in the container. Restrictions require proper weight distribution over the axles.
For Rail moves between Canada and the USA, containers must interchange between two railroads, the lower weight limit for the two must be used and are based on the Verified Gross Mass (VGM) weight which includes cargo, packing and tare.
