To support operational reliability and transparency across our inland rail network, Maersk is introducing an Export Token Fee (TKE) for rail shipments where Maersk manages rail terminal access. This optional service includes the centralized management of rail terminal appointments, helping to secure terminal access and support consistent cargo execution.
Effective Date: For shipments with a Price Calculation Date July 1, 2026 or after

Service Benefits:
- Guarantees secured rail terminal access for truckers aligned to vessel cut-offs
- Reduces the risk of missed bookings and associated penalties
- Improves execution reliability by integrating token management into inland planning
Surcharge Applicability
- Applicable to all rail export shipments where inland transportation is performed under Carrier Haulage (CH)
- Applies to both dry and reefer containers, unless otherwise specified in customer agreements
- Charged per container and reflected as a separate line item on the invoice
- Applies at the time of execution based on the Ocean move associated with the booking
The surcharge does not apply where contractual exclusions or other agreed customer-specific exceptions are in place.
