Shipping to and from Bulgaria

Inland haulage includes transportation from vendors to the port of shipment, and from discharge port to the point of stripping the ocean container by truck and / or rail.

Arranged by Maersk Bulgaria

Inland haulage is subject to truck / chassis availability. Unless the inland haulage service is requested 2 days in advance, truck availability cannot be guaranteed. Any port expenses and demurrages accumulated as a result of non timely submission of a haulage request will be for account of cargo. Special chassis can be arranged only upon request.

Maximum gross weight cargo (excluding container tare), which is acceptable for all trucking is:

• 24,000 kgs for 20’ containers
• 26,000 kgs for 40’ containers

Note: For any cargo exceeding above mentioned weight, please reach out CX team to request applicable haulage rate.

Customer is requested to inform Maersk Bulgaria local office when truck / container has not arrived 1 hour after appointed arrival time. In case arrival delay was not communicated to Maersk Bulgaria within above period, customer's claim in regard with this arrival delay will not be processed.

Haulage arranged by the Merchant

1. Release on Merchant Haulage is accepted only for customers with valid MHA.
2. Non-refundable merchant haulage fee is due as per the applicable tariff.
3. Containers must be returned to Maersk as stated in the released Delivery Order within the free period. Thereafter Demurrage and Detention will be charged (detailed information is available at Export / Import / SPOT )
