The following is an update on the latest COVID-19 related impacts to Ningbo port in the Greater China Area. We continue to closely monitor the situation and are doing our best to keep your supply chain moving.

Of the five container terminals in Ningbo, 3 terminals below are located near the epidemic area of Beilun district in Ningbo while no positive case is reported in the terminals.

Landside Service

Trucking service in Jinhua Yongkang, the mid-risk area of Beilun district, Ningbo and the area outside Zhejiang province is remaining suspended under the strict regulation by the epidemic prevention policy. 75% of the transportation capacity has been gradually recovered while the operational efficiency is negatively impacted by the requirement of nucleic acid testing.

Landside Service

Trucking service in Jinhua Yongkang, the mid-high-risk area of Beilun district of Ningbo and the area outside Zhejiang province remains suspended under the strict regulation by the epidemic prevention policy. Zhejiang Provincial Government, local governments and Ningbo port have issued policies for the control and prevention against epidemic outbreak. Trucking service providers are actively applying for the relevant certificates for vehicles and drivers in accordance with policy requirements. Nearly 10% of the transportation capacity is gradually recovered. Maersk Intercontinental rail, Maersk Sea-rail and Barge service are available as alternative solutions in the short term.

Ningbo Bluedragon LongXing warehouse operations have been completely suspended until further notice.

Ningbo Bluedragon LongFei warehouse operations of cargo inbound and outbound have been open completely.

As reported by General Office of the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, a few people were tested Covid-19 positive in Beilun as one of Ningbo’s administrative districts. Of the five container terminals in Ningbo, 3 terminals Ningbo Beilun Container Terminal (NBCT), Ningbo Beilun Second Container Terminal (NBSCT), Ningbo Beilun Third Container Terminal (NBTCT) are located near the epidemic area of Beilun district while no positive case is reported in the terminals. The disinfection and quarantine measures has been implemented by local authorities to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We’re closely monitoring the situation and provide you with the most up-to-date information so that together we can keep your supply chain moving.

Landside Service

Trucking service outside Beilun District of Ningbo is strictly regulated by the epidemic prevention policy and is suspended now. Trucking service providers are in the process of application for the traffic permit with approx. 20% of drivers have been permitted. Zhejiang Provincial Government, local governments and Ningbo port are in search of regulations to mitigate the impact on logistics transportation. Some areas have issued relevant policies to allow trucks from Beilun area to operate under strict control. Maersk Intercontinental rail, Maersk Sea-Rail, and barge service are available as the alternative solutions in the short term.
