At present we are seeing considerable congestion in TNMSC terminal creating significant waiting times for gate – in/out of full containers. As a direct result of this, vast majority of our inland suppliers are levying congestion fees against Maersk group for intermodal services.
Therefore Maersk will implement a surcharge for all Carrier Haulage and Multi-carrier bookings for cargo to/from terminal TNMSC, applicable for all new booking not already confirmed.
- For all truck bookings: EUR 125 per container
This charge is associated with the cost being imposed on us by suppliers, and to ensure that we can provide sufficient capacity to meet customer needs, in face of reduced turnaround times and impacted landside productivity.
At present, the surcharge will be applicable as of 19th April, until further notice, Maersk will continue to monitor the situation, and keep you informed.
We appreciate your understanding and support to overcome this extraordinary situation together.
For further information please contact your local Maersk office.
