Deployment upgrade on Canada Express
We would like to announce that two modern vessels, Vistula Maersk and Vayenga Maersk, will phase-in Canada Express (North Europe to/from Canada) to replace the existing vessels. The new vessels are among the world’s largest ice-class containerships, designed specifically for operation in icy water conditions. Apart from a stronger hull, they are characterized by providing efficiency of intake. This improvement will offer strong support to contract business and end-to-end logistics.
The ice class vessels’ propeller and rudder design has been optimised for more efficient fuel consumption. Further, the vessel will utilize biofuel. The deployment change will be an important step to provide our Canadian customers with solutions to further decarbonisation in logistics.
With the changes to the setup of the Canadian Express, we look forward to continuously serving our customers with a reliable connection between North Europe and Canada.
