MSC Erica 233W: Freeze on port charges for import containers at Port of Felixstowe
A. P. Moller – Maersk would like to inform you of a freeze on specific port charges for import containers that arrived at the Port of Felixstowe on the vessel MSC Erica 233W.
This freeze on port charges will only apply to import containers collected no later than 23:59 on Tuesday 11 October. Import containers departing the port after this time will not receive this storage freeze and storage charges will commence from date of discharge from the vessel as normal.
The import containers meeting the above criteria will receive additional storage and monitoring free time from Wednesday 5 October up to and including Tuesday 11 October. This will only apply to import storage, while all other charges will be applied at the normal per diem rates.
We will endeavour to apply this additional free time proactively for carrier haulage bookings for merchant haulage and a number of carrier haulage bookings where the above criteria is met. In case the freeze is not reflected correctly on invoices we kindly ask customers to raise an invoice dispute with our invoice disputes team at disputes@maersk.com who will review and issue any credit(s) due. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your local Customer Experience representative.
