As part of A.P. Moller – Maersk’s efforts to keep our customers informed of the latest operational details, we would like to give you an update on Maribo Maersk (244W).
Please be informed, operations at the terminal are disrupted and go-slow actions are taking place because of Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) negotiations between the unions and the terminal(s) in Rotterdam (APM 2 Terminal Maasvlakte II).
Due to the go-slow actions at the terminal, unfortunately not all discharge and load moves could have been completed in the available berthing window. The vessel could not extend her port stay in Rotterdam, and had to remain on schedule to avoid losing her berthing window for next port call in Bremerhaven. As a result, the vessel performed a cut and run with the following impact:
Import: Impacted shipments with planned destination Rotterdam remained on board and will be discharged in next port call; Bremerhaven. Impacted units are re-planned back to Rotterdam on the Mary Maersk (250E) with ETA: 27/12.
Export: Impacted units are re-planned to the Maastricht Maersk (245W) with ETD: 20/12 (Rotterdam).
We understand this is disappointing, but in light of the situation in Rotterdam, our teams are working hard on keeping our customers’ supply chains moving and avoiding additional delays.
We continue to monitor the situation at the terminal and plan contingencies where needed to alleviate impact to customers. We will keep you updated of any developments and changes as more information becomes available.
Your business is of great importance to us and we thank you for your continuous understanding and regret any inconvenience caused by this schedule.
Please feel free to contact your local Customer Service representatives for any questions or concerns.
