Update on announced rail strikes in Germany
A. P. Moller – Maersk would like to provide an update on the situation surrounding rail union’s strike action, previously scheduled to start on Sunday 14 May at 22:00 and end on Tuesday 16 May at 24:00. On Saturday 13 May, the unions and employers have reached a settlement that caused a cancellation of previously announced strike action. Nevertheless, some disruption is still possible due to limited labour availability.
Our teams are working closely with the rail planners to ensure an efficient flow of information as the situation develops. We continue to focus on maintaining the flow of our customers’ cargo and keeping customer impact to a minimum. Should there be any changes in schedules, your local Customer Service representative will be in touch as your booking is updated.
We will keep monitoring the situation and share an update as soon as more information is available. We thank you for your trust and understanding during this time.
In case of any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your usual contact.
