Landside surcharge Import and Export - Europe
We launched a new ocean product, Service 842 with arrival / departures in L’europe terminal / Quai des Ameriques. Currently, all our Rail/Barge providers invoice additional costs for the transfer between LHTE and L’europe terminal. As a direct result of this, Maersk will implement a surcharge for all Carrier Haulage and Multi-carrier bookings for cargo to/from terminal l’Europe, applicable for all future new booking for following transport modes:
- For RAIL / BARGE / BARGE COMBINED / RAIL COMBINED bookings: EUR 210 per container.
This surcharge will be invoiced under the surcharge name ‘ Inland Additional import’ or ‘Inland additional export’.
This charge is associated with the additional cost being imposed on us by suppliers. Should you not accept this surcharge, we recommend you place your booking on truck instead of rail or barge.
The surcharge will be applicable as of 18th September, until further notice. Maersk will continue to keep you informed.
We appreciate your understanding and support to move a maximum of containers by Truck, to/from l’Europe Terminal.
For further information please contact your local Maersk office.
