Update 02
We would like to provide you an update regarding the recent industrial action that took place across the Belgian terminals. An agreement has been reached between the pilot bodies and the Government, and as a result pilot stations are now operational.
The industrial action has meant that a reduced number of vessels was able to enter and depart to and from the Belgian terminals, creating a backlog and delaying vessel schedules. Over the weekend, our teams have worked hard on planning appropriate contingencies and clearing the backlog as much as possible. As the effects of the industrial action are still impacting vessel schedules, our teams continue to focus on clearing the backlog, maintaining the flow of cargo, and minimising delays for customers. At the moment, we expect vessel schedules to recover at the end of Week 50.
If your cargo is directly impacted by this situation, you will receive an ETA notification as soon as the booking is updated with the new schedule. To receive the latest updates, sign up for ETA notifications.
As always, our teams are here to serve you. So please don’t hesitate to reach out to your local Customer Experience representative if you have any questions via our easy chat function.
Update 01
We would like to provide you an update regarding the recent industrial action that took place across the Belgian terminals, which has impacted vessel berthing windows and operations, consequently delaying cargo flows.
The industrial action has meant that a reduced number of vessels was able to enter and depart to and from the Belgian terminals, consequently significantly disrupting their normal schedules. As the situation is still developing, at the moment we expect a minimum of 48 hours waiting time and further changes in vessel schedules.
If your cargo is directly impacted by the current situation, you will receive specific information regarding detailed schedule changes. We will continue to focus on maintaining the flow of import and export cargo during this period and aim to keep impact to a minimum. However, please be aware that the situation could change, and additional disruption is possible. Should any changes occur, or further industrial actions be planned, we will communicate all information to you as soon as possible.
Please find an overview of the impacted vessels below. If your cargo is currently on board of the below vessels, you will receive an ETA notification as soon as the booking is updated with the new schedule. To receive the latest updates, sign up for ETA notifications.
