Late Gate Fee (LGE) implementation in Brazil
To keep providing you excellent customer experience, Maersk will implement the Late Gate Fee (LGE) for export shipments in Brazilian ports.
Our teams are extremely committed with quality and reliability. That excellence is highly impacted by excessive number of late gate requests that are processed by Capacity and Cargo Readiness teams, but not utilized.
Aiming to enhance this process, Late Gate Fee will be effective as from June 1st, 2024, when the late arrival requested by customer is approved.
Scope: Brazil x World
Applicable when the carrier allows containers to be gated in after the cut-off time and loaded on the scheduled vessel/voyage.
It does not include any port expense or other terminal service.
Price: BRL 250 per container of any type and size
Effective date: Late arrival requests received as from June 1st, 2024.
The late arrival request must be placed online at www.portalagendamentos.com.br and its approval is subject to operational feasibility.
