Operational impact of floods in the south of Germany
Due to the current situation and heavy floods in the south of Germany, A.P. Moller – Maersk is seeing an impact to our inland network in several areas. The heavy flooding has resulted in train cancellations, road closures, and train stoppages, consequently impacting our truck and rail operations on both import and export side.
As the situation is expected to continue, it is difficult to predict its full impact, but rest assured that our teams are doing their utmost to stay on top of the situation. At the moment, Maersk teams are reviewing the already planned shipments and the available capacity in the affected areas. We are also working on replanning any shipments affected by this situation to the next available date and informing customers of any changes as they happen.
We will keep customers informed of any updates on this advisory page as soon as more information is available. Our teams remain at your disposal, and should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your local Maersk representative. We thank you for your understanding during this time.
