In light of the recent developments that are impacting the movement of cargo between India and Pakistan. There have been restrictions on trade and marine traffic between the two countries. These restrictions are constantly evolving and as per the latest developments, the current updates on the trade restrictions include:

Pakistan: Indian exports and imports, remaining onboard (RoB), transiting through ports in Pakistan are allowed

India: Pakistan imports transiting through ports in India are allowed while Pakistan exports transiting through ports in India are not allowed

This has impacted our network and overall operations. To ensure we continue providing a high level of service we have made changes to our network and operations.

This has necessitated implementing an Emergency Operational Cost Recovery Surcharge

  • Operational Cost Recovery Exports (OCE)
  • Operational Cost Recovery Imports (OCR)

This will be applicable on all contract shipments to and from Pakistan.

Effective date will be as follows

Non-regulated countries 21-May-25
Regulated countries 13-June-25
Vietnam 29-May-25.

* Non-SPOT booking – The above rate is retrieved based on PCD. PCD = Price Calculation Date. For non-FMC, PCD refers to the scheduled departure date of the first water leg at the time of booking confirmation for non-spot bookings. For FMC, PCD is last container gate-in date for non-spot bookings.

For your reference, we have also included the levels and rate structure for some sample corridors valid from 21-May-25 from Karachi, PK to Algeciras, ES until further notice. These may be subject to future change; however, we will make sure to notify you accordingly.
