Revision of Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) from Far East Asia to North Europe and Mediterranean (E1W/E2W)

Ongoing vessel diversions around the Cape of Good Hope, ongoing hostilities globally, network disruptions, equipment imbalances, and selective capacity management have reduced effective capacity and tightened space availability on key sailings. These factors are expected to remain in place through the peak season period.

Freight rates on Asia to Europe corridors have already shown significant upward momentum in recent weeks, with market analysts reporting continued upward pressure as carriers seek to restore rate levels and manage capacity constraints. Market indicators suggest further increases may be implemented as demand builds into the summer peak season.

Given the details outlined above, Maersk is revising the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for the scope of Far East Asia to North and Mediterranean Europe with effective price calculation date (ETD) from 3rd Aug 2026.
