Customers increasingly factor ESG requirements into their logistics decision-making processes, with many operators using ESG supplier evaluation platforms such as EcoVadis, which recognised Maersk with a Platinum rating in 2023, representing the top 1% of our industry.

Our green logistics solutions are developed in close and continual dialogue with a broad range of businesses, helping many more deliver on their climate commitments.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) are the backbone of many economies, yet are often disproportionately impacted by changing demands for shipping and logistics capacity. Our digital logistics solution for SMEs, Twill, transformed into Maersk Go.

This evolution incorporates the key elements valued by small and medium businesses, providing enhanced accessibility to Maersk’s wider catalogue of transportation products and logistical services. Maersk Go empowers entrepreneurs to book shipments and track and manage everything in one place. The mission persists—to level the playing field for SMEs in international trade—now strengthened with better capabilities.

The contribution made by women-owned businesses in driving inclusive economic growth worldwide is recognised by governments and scientists alike.

Since 2018, Maersk has supported SheTrades, a platform that connects women entrepreneurs all over the world to global markets. Our contributions include a coaching program that pairs Maersk coaches with women entrepreneurs from developing countries. Over the last 5 years, we have enabled over 3,775 beneficiaries to receive technical expertise through training and other solutions in over 88 countries.
