The Oceania supply chain continue to be negatively impacted by the global supply chain disruption. In Oceania we continue to experience terminal congestion and suspension of proforma berthing windows impacting our schedules. At Maersk we are committed to restore schedule reliability to offer our customers a more consistent service to enable improved supply chain planning despite the current dynamic environment.

In order to protect schedule reliability on our OC1, while improving product consistency and enable a stable weekly product, we will be making the following structural service adjustments to the OC1 service schedule, connecting Oceania with East Coast US and the Americas.

  • We will reinstate Port Chalmers, NZ as a weekly call.
  • In order to protect the schedule integrity on the service, the current bi-weekly call at Port of Napier, NZ, will be removed from the service.
    We remain committed to continue to support NZ export cargo from Napier and will offer alternative products on our Southern Star and J-Star service and offer two weekly calls at port of Napier.

The above outlined changes will be effective from the MVS Oluf Maersk voyage 152N, departing Sydney on the 31st December 2021.

The new OC1 weekly rotation will therefore be as follows

  • Sydney > Melbourne > Port Chalmers > Tauranga > Panama Canal > Manzanillo > Cristobal > Cartagena > Philadelphia > Charleston > Panama Canal > Balboa > Tauranga > Sydney

We continue to deliver market leading schedule reliability between New Zealand and the World despite the current bottlenecks across the New Zealand and the global supply chain. By introducing additional adjustments to our Ocean Network and respond to the current market conditions, we are able to reduce the overall impact on the New Zealand supply chain.
