New Cargo Acceptance Policy / Radioactive Cargo IMDG Class 7
Maersk is committed to ensuring the overall safety of maritime transportation.
Post a series of case studies, risk assessments, policy governance exercises, and environment protection agencies guidelines, we have decided to start accepting non-fissile radioactive cargo only from our selected audited shippers to ensure the utmost safety.
Customers interested in shipping radioactive for the first time must contact their local customer service representative or sales representative to be guided.
The above cargo will only be accepted on Maersk-operated vessels and is also subject to applicable port restrictions if any.
Please refer to the attached best practice to transport document, an easy step-by-step document that will guide you on how to properly book and transport radioactive cargo with us.
For further inquiries, please contact your local sales representative.
