During the traditional Chinese New Year (CNY) period, the majority of factories close and workforces are limited throughout the country – having a significant impact on production and China’s overall logistics landscape. As a result, Maersk is making the following schedule adjustments for CNY 2024 on top of previously announced adjustments:

Separately, the ongoing situation in the Red Sea / Gulf of Aden has had an impact on our services and many of our vessels have consequently been delayed on their return to Asia. Therefore, we will look to utilise vessels that will not be sailing from Asia around the CNY period to compensate for said delays where operationally necessary and feasible. This is to ensure we can continue to support our customers once factories in China re-open and demand picks up after the CNY period.
Our teams will continue to ensure customer impact is minimised by rebooking cargo to the remaining network in advance. We will, of course, communicate any further changes with you as soon as possible.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your local customer service or sales representatives.
