The Fremantle Traffic Bridge will be closed for an estimated period of up to 12 months from the 1st February 2026, as part of the final works to complete the new bridge at the same location.

The Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure has advised that this closure will result in increased congestion and reduced accessibility across North Fremantle and nearby areas. Customers should expect longer transit times, particularly along key routes including Stirling Highway, Canning Highway, Stirling Bridge, and Tydeman Road with disruptions expected to impact the “North Fremantle Port Precinct freight corridor” which may temporarily affect service performance and operating costs for Maersk transport activities and our customers.

We are actively monitoring the situation and evaluating the operational impacts. Further communication will be shared once there is greater clarity on the level of disruption and any resulting cost implications.
