Demurrage: Compensation payable when the Merchant holds carrier’s Container inside the terminal, port, or depot beyond the agreed amount of Free Time (the compensation includes terminal storage costs). Demurrage Free time and calculation begins from full container gate-in date.

India Export inland services There are two modes of operation for Export Haulage.
| Option 1 | Shipper PDA : As per this option, the rail transportation is directly payable by shipper to the rail operator. This is also known as Merchant haulage. As per this setup Place of Receipt (POR) on the B/L will be the port of loading (not the inland location), Line is not liable to arrange for Inland Haulage. The cost of positioning equipment into such inland locations will be charged under Equipment Positioning Surcharge (EPS). Since Inland rail transportation cost is paid by shipper directly to the rail operator, IHE is not invoice-able to the customer. |

Line PDA : As per this option the rail transportation is payable by shipper to Line. This is also called Carrier Haulage setup. The cost of Rail transportation, ICD handling, ICD infrastructure charges and ICD energy surcharge is recovered through IHE (inland haulage export). The cost of positioning equipment into such inland locations is rolled into the Dry Port Surcharge.

The WDF is applicable to each container where:
- The difference (positive or negative) between the VGM weight and the weight declared in the shipping instructions is greater than 3000Kg.
- The VGM weight is greater than the maximum gross weight of the container, (as per CSC plate (Max Payload + Tare weight).
- The VGM weight is lesser than tare weight of the container.
Hazardous Cargo acceptance
- Acceptance of Hazardous Cargo to ports : IMO Class 1 and 7 is not acceptable throughout India.
Out Of Gauge Cargo and 45' Containers
- Out-of-Gauge Cargo is not accepted to or from any inland location in India.
- Containers which are more than 9'6" high are considered out of gauge (OOG) and cannot be moved by rail or road.
- 45' containers are not accepted for movement by rail or road.
