No Shipping Instructions- No Load Policy for cargo arriving in Myanmar
Maersk is committed to complying with international sanctions, embargoes, export controls and respecting human rights. In light of the above and in consideration of the current internal situation in Myanmar and Maersk’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, we have decided to implement a No Shipping
Instructions – No Load policy for import cargo arriving in Myanmar. This policy will include both Import and transhipment cargo into Myanmar.
The shipping instructions need to be submitted at least 48 hours prior the vessel arrival at the respective load port. If you fail to submit shipping instructions before 48 hours, the cargo will be rolled onto the next available vessel. The cost of rolling will have to be borne by the customer at the origin. This policy will be effective from 01st June 2024.
To meet the Customs requirement and to safeguard your cargo from the rollover, we advise you to submit complete shipping instructions at least 48 hours prior the vessel arrival at the respective port.
We appreciate your support.
