How do I release my bill of lading at a destination counter service?
In some countries we offer a counter service for releasing your Bill of Lading. If unsure check with your local office. Your Bill of Lading can be transferred to the consignee or other shipment parties directly from Shipment Details for the shipment in question.
From the hub homepage, enter the shipment number into the freetext search box and click ‘View Details’.
Navigate to the 'Bill of Lading' card on the right of the page and click "Transfer Bill of Lading" or "B/L Release" to authorise the relevant shipment party to print the BL themselves or collect from their local Maersk counter where available.
Where relevant, use "Electronic Cargo Release" to surrender the BL and transfer ownership in just a few clicks!
