Prohibited dangerous goods UN numbers
As a company, we are strongly committed to safety. We verify all bookings information, and we inspect containers if we deem it necessary, to ensure the highest safety standard. We want our customers to be confident that we strive to keep lives, environment, cargoes, and assets out of risk, no matter where they are.
More often our Center Dangerous Goods Policy Team receives inquiries from our customers regarding the specific United Nations (UN) number for permitted or prohibited dangerous goods to transport by Maersk.
An UN number is a four-digit number that identifies hazardous materials, and articles (such as explosives, flammable liquids, oxidizers, toxic liquids, etc.) in the framework of international transport.
For this reason, and to increase transparency we have incorporated a download version of a pdf file containing all detailed UN of prohibited commodities to transport with Maersk. You may now be able to find it under the Prohibited Commodities tab of the Dangerous Cargo Industry Sector page.
