Update on dangerous goods declaration template for dangerous goods bookings
In accordance with the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, and safety norms such as our inhouse policies, port regulations and partners guidance intended, all the non-applicable information needs to be excluded from Dangerous Good Declaration form (DGDR template) as per requirement.
When completing the dangerous goods declaration form, we encourage you to retain relevant and applicable details to your dangerous goods shipment and refrain from including irrelevant information.
Complying with this rule, will avoid last minute challenges, potential port fines and shut outs.
What do you need to do?
- Ensure adherence to mandatory requirements applicable under national and international government regulations and under IMDG Code 5.4.1.
- Specify packaging group, marine pollutant, technical name etc. only when applicable to your UNNO. to be shipped. The proper shipping name is always required.
- If the standard DGDR template is used, delete all information from previous shipment and mention relevant details to current cargo only.
