This service includes enhanced security measures and extra precautions to minimise exposure to any threats or challenges while your cargo is in our care – whether it’s being handled, operated, or under the custody of Maersk or our trusted affiliates.

Risks covered
- Loss or damage during end-to-end transportation of cargo.
- Natural catastrophes.
- General Average (GA).
- War risks (including Trans-Suez transit) and strikes.
- All commodities, with a few exceptions in dry and refrigerated cargo.
Claims
How to submit a claim?
Please inform us immediately if you find your cargo is damaged or lost by following the steps below:
Fill out the claim form and send the first notification of loss
Download and fill up the claim form. Send the completed claim form to cargocareclaims@maersk.com with your Bill of Lading (BL) or shipment number.
Gather your documents
Please use the checklist in the claim form to ensure all the documentation is in order before submitting the claim. We can only process the claim once all the required documents are received.
Receive an answer
We will notify you once our team has received all the necessary documents to assess your claim.
